Day 1: CASABLANCA - RABAT (1h30 drive)
Pick up at the airport OR hotel in Casablanca and transfer to Rabat. Explore Rabat sightseeing including Oudaya Kasbah, Botanic Garden or Chellah Necropolis, Mohamed 5 Mausoleum etc. Night in Riad Shaan..
Day 2: RABAT – SALE - OUAZAN - CHEFCHAOUEN (4 hours drive)
In the morning, visit the medina of Sale to learn about the typical elements of a Moroccan medina. Leave Rabat around noon to cross the countryside, short stop in OUAZAN, then take on the Riff Mountains. Night in Echchaouen Hotel.
Day 3: CHEF CHAOUEN - FES. (4 Hours drive)
Spend the morning to roam around the blue washed medina and its nooks and crannies. Leave the Riff Mountains behind and stop on the way to Fes to visit the best preserved Roman ruins in Morocco, at Volubilis. Night in Riad Dar Cordoba.
Day 4: FES. Full day Private tour of Fes
One day is hardly enough for all the wonders of the largest still standing enclosed city in the world and world- famous for its leather and metalwork to not mention the tanneries, the 9500 narrow alleys, the oldest university in Morocco and all the sounds, smells and sights that assault the senses. Fes conjures the image of the fabled Arab city as Baghdad at the time of the 1001 nights.Night in Dar Cordoba.
Day 5: FES - AZROU - MIDELT - ERFOUD - MERZOUGA (7 hours drive)
After breakfast, the first stop is Ifrane and with its alpine chalets, trimmed gardens, leafy park surrounding a mountain fed lake, you could almost be in Switzerland. Light walk in the cedar forests where the cheeky Barbary macaque roam to the delight of the visitors. After lunch, leave the city of Midelt behind and enter the valley of Ziz. In Erfoud, the first dunes appear on the horizon. Night in Kasbah Dar Eljanoub.
Day 6: MERZOUGA - ERG CHEBBI
Wake up to admire the sunrise over the dunes. Spend the day exploring the area. Have tea with the nomads, try the local’s pizza, join in for a dance with the Gnawa, visit the old mines and scout for rock engravings or pre - Islamic tombs. Late afternoon, ride camels to your desert camp to arrive there by sunset. Night in a Comfort Camp.
Day 7: MERZOUGA - TINEJDAD - TINERIR - TODRA - SKOURA (5 hours drive)
After breakfast, take the road to Tinejdad, visit a traditional fortified ksour village and its wells of light. Todra Gorges, lie only 15 km from Tinerir, presenting an arresting spectacle with its crystal clear river emerging from it, its huge walls changing colour to magical effect as the day unfolds. Later, reach the Valley of Roses, Dades gorges and then the palm grove of Skoura. Night in Auberge Chez Talout.
Day 8: SKOURA
Have a tour of the palm grove with a local guide with visit to 17 century Fortress, learn how to make pottery with an artisan Or Drive to the Almond valleys at the foot of the Atlas Mountains. Night in Auberge Chez Talout.
Day 9: SKOURA - AIT BENHADDOU - MARRAKECH (5 hours drive)
Leave Skoura to then cross through Ouarzazate and arrive at UNESCO world site Ait Benhaddou. Follow the Ounila Valley and reach Telouet to visit the ruins of the pasha’s palace and the salt mines. Take on the High Atlas Mountains and cross the Tizi n Tichka pass at 2100 meters. Descend upon Marrakech in the evening. Night in Amber des epice
Day10: MARRAKECH. Private city tour of Marrakech
A private English speaking guide will uncover Marrakech and its treasures for you. Since you'd seen a few Medersas in Fes, the best is to start with the Bahia Palace and the Saadis mausoleums. The small adorned Douiria or visit our recommended museum. In the afternoon, have a tea at the legendary La Mamounia and stroll around the most romantic gardens in Marrakech. Visit Jemaa El Fna square in the evening and watch the acrobats, food stalls, musicians, snake charmers and story tellers in action. Night in amber des epices.
Day11: MARRAKECH –ESSAOUIRA: One day tour to Essaouira
Wandering the streets of these blue and white facades-the colors of ocean foam and waves- Discover the Scala, the old port, the art galleries and thuya wood craftsmen and more…Back to Marrakech in the evening. Night in Amber des epices.
Day12: MARRAKECH. Gardens city tours and cooking class
Visit the Majorelle Gardens and the Yves Saint Laurent museum or take a cooking class complete with a discovery of the medina's food circuit and lunch. End of the Tours
