Day 1: MARRAKECH-AIT BENHADDOU-ZAGORA (6 hour drive)
In the morning meet your dedicated Driver Guide and cross the High Atlas Mountains to reach Tizi n Tichka pass at 2100 meters high. Explore the Pasha’s ruined palace and the salt mines of Telouet. Follow the majestic Ounila Valley with its decaying kasbahs and lush orchards to arrive in the UNESCO world site Ait Benhaddou. Skip Ouarzazate and cross the Tizi nfit pass to reach 1700 meters high, from where the panorama of the legendary Draa Valley unfolds. Before Zagora, a dusty off road will take you to local prehistoric rock engravings. Night in Villa Zagora.
Day2: ZAGORA - TAMEGROUTE -ERG CHIGAGA (3 hour drive).
After breakfast, discover the nearby village of Amezrou and its Jewish heritage - the old adobe synagogue and the silver jewelry craft. Further on, visit the village of Tamegroute known for green pottery identified on mosque tiles, dishes and pots across Morocco. The nearby Nassiria library holds a 10 century old gold- engraved Koran and various treaties on astronomy, medicine and Arab poetry. Have lunch with a local family or in a small restaurant. Cross the sand dunes to camp in Erg Chegaga. Camel ride for sunset
Day 3: ERG CHIGAGA- FOUM ZGUID- TATA (4 hour drive).
If you didn't get the chance to walk around the dunes the previous evening, you can do so in the morning. Later on, take on the dunes and pass to the dry lake Iriki to pick out fossils, and then join the tarmac again at Foum Zguid. Have tea with a nomad family on the way to Tata. Night in Dar Infian.
Day4: TATA - AIT KINE - TAROUDANT (5 hour drive)
In Tata visit the ancient palm grove and see the water clock. Stop in Ait Kine Oasis and visit the 18th century village granary, still in use. Back on the road, with a bit of chance, your driver Guide will have you discover the ancient Berber alphabet symbols carved on the stone embankment of the stream. Late afternoon, descend on the plain of Taroudant, majestically overlooked by the peaks of the High Atlas, at over 4000 meters high. Night in Palais Oumansour.
Day 5: TAROUDANT - AGADIR- ESSAOUIRA (4 hour drive).
Have a lazy morning, taking a stroll in a horse driven carriage around the old remparts or head to the Atlantic coast and spend a few hours on an unspoilt beach. Stop at women cooperative and see how they produce Argan Oil. Take the forest route and arrive to Essaouira in the late aftrrnoon. Night in La Perle d 'Eeau.
Day 6: Esssouira - Marrakech.
